The video and its accompanying books add a uniquely motivating dimension to any first-year course for children. Each episode includes three kinds of material: a story in the classic vein of children’s stories, involving magic, mystery and music; a ‘language insert’ which breaks into the story to give direct language practice in areas such as the alphabet, vocabulary building and simple structures: and a song, which provides additional practice with the vocabulary and structures being taught.
