The 3M protective half mask of the 6000 series together with a properly selected filter, absorber or filter absorber is used to protect the respiratory tract from harmful gases and vapours up to 10xNDS and from solid and liquid particles up to 20xNDS. Depending on the type of contamination and its concentration, an appropriate filter and/or absorber should be selected for the half mask.

Absorber 3M ABEK1, protects the respiratory system against organic gases and vapours with a boiling point above 65°C, inorganic gases and vapours except carbon monoxide, gases and acid vapours, e.g. sulphur dioxide, as well as against ammonia and organic ammonia derivatives. The advantage of the 6059 absorber is the ability to attach it to any type of 3M protective masks and half masks, including the 6000 and 7500 series. The product is used with 5000 series filters using the 501 filter cover, as well as with 2000 series filters using the 3M 502 base. When using 3M 6059 ABEK1 gas absorbers in a dusty environment, we recommend using 3M 5911 P1 filters to extend the life of the absorbers. Application: in the automotive, aerospace, metallurgical, boatbuilding, paint, dye, varnish, resin materials, metal etching, as well as in the production and maintenance of refrigeration equipment.

The 5911 filter protects against solid particles and fine mists with a concentration of 4 x NDS. The filter is very light and does not provide low resistance when breathing, which makes it comfortable to use.
