Dell Poweredge R640 is a server in a 1U Rack enclosure, available in various disk variants – it can hold up to 4 3,5″ drives and up to 12 2.5″ drives. Two sockets accommodate Intel Xeon Scalable Gen 1 and 2 processors, and 24 slots on DDR4 ECC RAM allow you to expand up to 3 TB of RAM. SAS, SATA and SSD drives can be used, and in some variants of the enclosure also NVMe U.2. 12Gbps SAS RAID controllers are available. Remote management is carried out via the iDRAC 9 controller, and the continuity of power supply is ensured by two redundant power supplies with power from 495 to 1600 Watt.
