Алфавит морских флагов: Визуальное руководство по международным кодам и сигналам морских флагов для морских судов с фонетическим алфавитом НАТО и азбукой Морзе

Although you would now most commonly see signal flags in use for dressing ships on special occasions, they are used internationally to signal between two ships or between ship and shore. A set should be carried by every well-equipped boat. It is important for sailors and boaters to understand these flags and their meanings. Some flags can alert you to a weather warning, others can help you communicate with other ships even when they do not speak the same language as you. Each letter of the alphabet has a different International code of signals (ICS or INTERCO) message associated. Flags can also be used to spell out words individually. This colorful pocket visual booklet contains an alphanumeric list of all of the ICS Flags with the internationally recognized single-flag meanings for you to learn, along with some common 2-flag codes that may be useful to you. A list of words to identify letters during the transmission of messages called the phonetic alphabet is shown beside each flag/letter. Each letter is also represented in Morse Code. A useful reference guide to keep aboard boats, yachts and other vessels. It would make a great gift for any boater who owns a sailboat, motorboat, trawler or cabin cruiser. Its visual format would also make it a great learning tool for any children with an interest in sailing, boating, marine life or flags and codes in general.
