Метаморфозы

Travelling salesman Gregor Samsa wakes one morning and finds himself inexplicably transformed into a huge insect. He subsequently struggles to adjust to his new condition. Originally written in German by Franz Kafka in 1912 and published in 1915, The Metamorphosis (original title: Die Verwandlung) is an allegorical novella and one of Kafka's best-known works. It has been studied in many Western schools and universities and has been widely discussed by literary critics, with several interpretations being put forward.
