Physicists believe two worlds exist; an abstract, mathematical world and the perceived world. Buddhists believe there is only one world, an experiential world that we call consciousness. This author believes a 'single world' explanation is possible if information traveling between the outside world and the brain takes the form of wave energies, which also form our memories. We inhabit an energised aether - our five senses are waves of the aether's energies. Why don't we experience waves and not energies? Imagine riding a wave of the sea. A surfer does not experience a wave; he or she experiences the energy of a wave pushing one in a straight line. This is how senses are able to cause continuous changes to the universe, rather than its consisting of a repetitive piece of clockwork that obeys fixed laws.
