I wanted what my parents had, but I never seemed to find it. Until she walked into my shop, looking like a dream come true and refusing to be treated differently than any other employee. She wasn’t like anyone I’d ever met, and it called to a part of me I thought would be alone forever. She came with baggage that I was ready to carry, but she kept herself guarded, afraid to let anyone inside. When she became hostile, I wanted to bang my head against the wall. But when she got herself backed into a corner, I stood beside her and prepared to fight to free her. When she finally gave me a chance, the undeniable bond we created was deeper than anything I’d ever experienced, but she was still ready to run.Could I lock her down and change her mind about me?Would her baggage keep her on the move, or could I take the burden from her and finally win her heart?
