Тартария: Соблазн скрытой истории

A lost empire. A global reset. A hidden history waiting to be uncovered. The Tartaria myth has captured the imagination of millions, offering a sweeping alternative account of the past and a seductive explanation for the unease of modern life. This work traces the origins of Tartaria from 19th-century esoteric thought through Russian pseudohistory and into today’s algorithm-driven internet culture. It carefully examines the claims that sustain the narrative—mudfloods, star forts, free energy, erased civilisations—and shows why they fail under historical scrutiny. More importantly, it asks why such stories are so compelling. Drawing on psychology, cultural history, and biblical theology, this study reveals Tartaria as a modern incarnation of ancient heresies: a myth of secret knowledge, lost golden ages, and hidden powers that distracts from the Bible’s central message of sin, grace, and redemption. Clear-eyed, charitable, and deeply reflective, it offers readers not just a debunking of a conspiracy theory, but a way of understanding the spiritual longings that give rise to myths—and how the Christian gospel speaks more truthfully, and more hopefully, to the human condition.
