ТРАНСФОРМАЦИИ: Т.3 От климатического бунта к социальной революции

Transformations is the third and final volume of From Climate Rebellion to Social Revolution, a wide-ranging critique that, in exposing the flaws of contemporary environmentalism – the technocratic and managerial approach, the scientism, the putting of people and politics on ice – goes to the source of the problem in order to identify an effective and enduring solution. Building on the analysis of environmentalism in the first two volumes, the concluding volume subjects corporate capital to close critical scrutiny, warning that the triumph of the ‘progressives’ may well turn out to be the triumph of corporate capital, with the result that the demand for ‘system change’ is realised as a ‘system preservation.’CONTENTS1 TURNING GREEN GLOOM INTO GREEN GROWTH2 CHANGES: CLIMATE CHANGE, CIVILIZATION CHANGE, SYSTEM CHANGE, SELF-CHANGE3 THE ABJECT STATE4 THE TRIUMPH OF CORPORATE CAPITALISM5 TELL THE TRUTH - THE CAPITAL SYSTEM IS THE PROBLEM6 SYSTEM CHANGE AND SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION 7 AUTONOMY AND SOLIDARITY8 CLIMATE CRISIS IS AN EXISTENTIAL CRISIS9 POLITICS FOR THE RESTORATION OF ECOLOGICAL HOPE10 TIME FOR A TRANSFORMATION11 CLASS, CAPITAL, CLIMATE CHANGE, AND THE COMMON GOOD12 THE UNITY OF SOCIAL FORMATION AND CHARACTER FORMATION13 THE END OF CIVILISATION OR THE END OF THE CAPITAL SYSTEM
