АНТИГОНА

What happens when the dilemmas of Greek tragedy land in the multicultural London of the twenty-first century? In this bold reinterpretation of Sophocles, Antigone is not a Theban princess but an AI researcher at UCL, who must confront the decree of a religious community that has condemned her brother Polynices to death, denounced as a traitor for having informed on their brother Eteocles, who was convicted of terrorism. In a city where tradition and modernity, faith and secularism, family loyalty and civic duty collide, Antigone must choose between obeying her community and following the dictates of her own conscience. Creon, her uncle and spiritual leader, embodies a power that confuses authority with truth and order with justice, while the classical chorus is replaced by an artificial intelligence that observes, comments, and questions human actions from a perspective that transcends immediate passion.#ANTIGONA interrogates the contradictions of our time. How do freedom and security coexist in democratic societies? Where does loyalty end and complicity begin? Can faith coexist with the values of a pluralist society? What ethical limits must technology respect? With a language that combines the poetic intensity of classical tragedy with the realism of contemporary London, Linde shows that the great texts of the past are not relics but living mirrors in which we recognise our own moral and political conflicts. This #ANTIGONA is at once a respectful homage to Sophocles and a completely contemporary work that speaks directly to the preoccupations of our moment.
