Сэлиш никогда не забывал

She went to the river to die.The river chose her to remember. Under moonlight and prayer, Salish gives herself to the water—and is transformed. Not into legend, but into witness. Into something ancient. Enduring. Watching. For generations, she lives beneath the surface as a sturgeon, carrying the memory of her people in her body. She feels the songs before they are silenced. The nets before they tighten. The water before it changes. She does not forget. Through colonization, loss, and the quiet unraveling of land and language, Salish remains—seeing, holding, remembering what the world tries to erase. But memory is not only pain.It is survival. It is return. Salish Never Forgot is a lyrical, haunting story of transformation, resilience, and the unbreakable connection between land, body, and spirit.
