Сегрегированная Америка: Как сломанная система психического здоровья терпит неудачу

The system isn’t broken. It’s working exactly how it was designed. That’s the problem.Every day across America, the same pattern repeats. A person in crisis encounters law enforcement, a hospital stabilizes and discharges them, and then a family calls for help again. The system responds, then a reset happens. This continues to happen over and over to individuals and families across the United States. It’s not because people don’t care or resources don’t exist. This is happening because the systems meant to help were never built to work together. The Siloed America: How a Broken Mental Health System is Failing exposes the hidden design flaw at the center of modern crisis response, and the lack of connection between law enforcement, healthcare, and community systems. Through real-world scenarios and clear, grounded insight, Greg Alexander reveals how critical information is lost, why outcomes repeat, and what it will take to change them. This is not a book about blame; this is a book about understanding. More importantly, this is a book about responsibility. The truth is, when systems don’t connect, people pay the price. This book challenges leaders, professionals, and communities to rethink how mental health crises are handled, and to take the first step toward building something better. The next crisis is not a question of if or when. The question to ask is, will we be ready.
