The Crew of the Barque Lone Star was founded as a scion society of the Baker Street Irregulars in April, 1970. Through the years, the society has been home for many authors of fiction, Sherlockian criticism, and other non-fiction pieces of work.As we approach our 50th anniversary of existence, it seemed appropriate to have our present members develop a Sherlock pastiche. Thus, A Grimm Holmes was published in 2017, with plans to develop a volume each year through 2020.The theme for the series was borrowed from two sources. First, an opera based on a fairy tale solved by the world’s consulting detective.
